Connecting Creative Communities with Skateboarding, Music, Art Exhibitions and Workshops featuring Sabotage, Waxfeather, Finicky In Nature, Ink & Clog, PlainSunset, TheLionCityBoy, Killeur Calculateur and more…
For Singapore’s innaugural House Of Vans, we wanted to make sure all angles were covered. For our workshops, creative groups such as SBTG, Finicky In Nature, Tell Your Children, And Hounds Of Baskervilles were hands on with registered participants. Local Skate Magazine & Photographer Waxfeather came in with a new series of skate prints from a yet to be released collection coming out soon. Eight talented designers came on board to add their flare to a pair of plain, white, Sk8-Hi shoes: Priscilla Ong, Juliana Ong, Mary Bernedette Lee, Mark Ong (SBTG), Fahmy Ishak, Eman and Nadirah (The Ink&Clog), Candance Phang, and Edmund Seah. SkateSG built out the skate course featuring waffle station obstacle and ran an afternoon of skate events. The evening saw local music talent such as PlainSunset, TheLionCityBoy, Generation69, and MHC crushing the main stage. Joing the local line-up from Kual Lumpur were Killeur Calculateur, Lawala Familia, and Volatile from Penang.
The event is part of a global series of House of Vans experiences and further cements Vans’ dedication and support for creative communities around the world. Throughout the final months of 2016, Vans will continue its House of Vans Tour in Asia Pacific offering a variety of activations including skateboarding demos, music events, interactive design workshops and art installations.
