“Off The Wall” Spirit Comes to Life Across 10 Cities in Asia Beginning in May
On May 13, 2017, Vans will kick-start a celebration of the “Off The Wall” spirit in Asia with the House of Vans Asia Tour in Chengdu, China, together with the Musicians Wanted and Vans Asia Custom Culture Competition. House of Vans will then be taking place across regions in Asia, with stops in Hong Kong, Taipei, Seoul, Shanghai, Yokohama and more to come throughout the year.
House of Vans is where “Off The Wall” lives; it’s a place where imagination lets loose over concrete bowls, art installations, workshops and concert stages, inspiring every person who runs, rolls or stomps through its door. Located in Brooklyn, New York, Chicago, Illinois and within the Old Vic Tunnels under Waterloo Station in London, as well as pop-ups around the world, House of Vans is home to the creativity that moves us.
House of Vans celebrates creative expression through music, art, action sports and street culture. Skaters, musicians, artists and street culture advocates will gather under the house in each Asian city for a truly “Off The Wall” experience.
Throughout the year, Vans will create authentic experiences for over 10 cities in Asia and will include a diverse range of activations from Skate competitions, DIY-workshops to art installations and special live musical performances.
“The House of Vans is an experiential hub for people to come together and celebrate creativity in art, music, skateboarding and street culture through truly ‘Off The Wall’ experiences. We are proud to kick off our 2017 House of Vans Asia Tour and look to build upon our support of local creative communities across the region.” said Mathew Morgan, Marketing Director of Vans APAC.
